Diners Club South Africa Launches Revolutionary New Loyalty Program

Anyone who has traveled using airline rewards miles knows that the experience can often be frustrating. The blackout periods, the limited seat availability, and the added cost of paying taxes on reward tickets can make you wonder if it was worth collecting all those rewards miles in the first place.

Enter ClubMiles, a revolutionary new approach to rewards miles and customer loyalty programs, which gives clubmembers the ability to use reward points to book any seat on any airline at any time (as long as there’s availability on the flight). The program, a product of Diners Club South Africa, launched in September and offers local clubmembers the ability to earn points to book travel in any class on any International Air Transport Association (IATA) airline.

Diners Club South Africa created ClubMiles after finding that many clubmembers require flexibility in choosing flight dates and times, seats with no blackout periods, and flights to any destination—and that most existing loyalty programs were not providing this level of service.

The ClubMiles program offers Diners Club cardmembers in South Africa:

  • a flexible loyalty program that is easy to redeem
  • the ability to pay for tickets and airport taxes using ClubMiles
  • tickets available 24/7 and 365 days of the year
  • available seats in any class
  • choice of IATA airlines
  • the option to buy additional ClubMiles using a Diners Club card
  • the option to link secondary cardholder
  • the ability to find available flights and book travel directly through the easy-to-use ClubMiles website

Plus, Diners Club South Africa is working not only to make aviation rewards “airline agnostic,” but hotel and car rental rewards as well. Starting at the end of October, ClubMiles can be redeemed for stays at more than 45,000 hotels worldwide and car rental rewards booking will launch in early 2015.

A revolutionary program like this makes it easy to see why it pays to be a part of the Club.
