The 23rd Diners Club International Pro-Am Classic took place for the second year running at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa during the first week of November. The tournament included 16 teams from 11 Diners Club franchises with two franchisesChina and Indiaparticipating for the first time.

Though the team from the United Arab Emirates was leading going into the final day of golf, the South Africa (Evens) team ultimately came out on top. China (Odds) was the runner-up, followed by the Indian team in third and the Emirati team in fourth place.

This prestigious golfing event attracts some of the finest players from around the world. These special guests were treated to four days of world-class dining and five-star accommodations, culminating in a gala dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate all participating teams and honor this year’s winners.

Diners Club franchises held local tournaments earlier this year to determine which one or, in some cases, two teams of four players would represent them in Abu Dhabi. Each team included one professional and three amateur players. The tournament consisted of one practice round and two competition rounds. The format was better-ball Stableford with the best two scores counting.

The tournament was played on two courses. The Abu Dhabi Golf Club is a 7,334-yard, par-72 championship course that features seven spectacular saltwater lakes and offers one of the most luxurious golf resort experiences in the Middle East. The second tournament round was played at the 7,414-yard, par-72 Yas Links course, which was the first links golf course to be built in the Middle East and has been voted as one of the top 100 golf courses in the world.
